The Institute has conducted on-going Management
Development Programmes for some of the leading Multinational's and PSU's. The training and development needs
of the organization are assessed, and modules
implemented accordingly; allowing the
applications of business management to be
implemented in actual industry situations and
circumstances.
Faculty Development Programme
Under this programme, open seminars and lectures are organized on current topics in which all the faculty members and students participate. This
Development Programme is one way to increase inter-disciplinary
knowledge and skills for the benefit of both
faculty and students. It is a fact that today's business world needs effective decision makers who
are generalists as well as specialists; this
OIMT programme addresses this new trend in the field of management.
Visiting Lecturers
Eminent personalities are regularly invited to the
Institute to share their visions and
experiences in different areas of management through case studies and paper presentations. These activities have been designed to sharpen the problem solving, decision making, and analytical skills of the students
as they form responses to the challenges and
questions raised by these distinguished
leaders.
Entrepreneur Development Programme
This programme focuses on the small businesses
in the local region, assisting the business
owners in acquiring professional knowledge and
tools to manage their enterprise more
effectively. This promotion of entrepreneurial
skills, a professional approach, and the
development of risk-taking abilities in the
local small business community also promotes
social awareness and responsibility on the part
of OIMT students and faculty. This important work is carried out in association with various leading developmental agencies
in the area.
